On October 28–29, the Governor of Jiangsu Province visited XCMG Group to conduct an in-depth survey and emphasize the full implementation of the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He called for aligning thought and action with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech and the plenary session’s deployment, taking high-quality development as the overarching theme, while stabilizing employment, enterprises, markets, and expectations. He urged all efforts to ensure the fulfillment of annual economic and social goals and to strengthen regional development capacity and influence, contributing more to the overall progress of the province and the nation.

Focusing on Electrification, Intelligence, and Innovation
During his visit to the XCMG Mining Machinery Division, the Governor encouraged the company to target the future direction of electrification, intelligence, and green development in the construction machinery industry. He emphasized the importance of enhancing technological R&D, leveraging innovation funds, and strengthening the development of core components. He also urged the company to accelerate the construction of innovation “training grounds,” promoting the transformation from a traditional manufacturing enterprise to a service-oriented solutions provider.

At the XCMG High-end Construction Machinery Innovation Center, the Governor emphasized the need to establish a market-driven, enterprise-led system for industry–academia–research collaboration, providing comprehensive innovation services — from R&D design and testing to standard setting and intellectual property protection.

He called on the local government to fully leverage XCMG’s role as a technological leader, to extend and strengthen the industrial chain, and to nurture some specialized and innovative enterprises and “single champion” firms in the intelligent equipment sector — aiming to build a world-class construction machinery industrial cluster with strong competitiveness and industry leadership.
