Recently, in the intelligent runway base construction project at Singapore Airport, the XCMG XD105T double drum vibratory roller completed the delivery and commissioning of an unmanned construction system. This marks the first overseas application of China’s smart road construction cluster in a real infrastructure project, opening a new stage for the international deployment of intelligent road construction technology.

In this project, XD105T rollers formed an autonomous construction fleet. After system calibration, process optimization, and intelligent deployment, the equipment cluster achieved real-time data connectivity and coordinated control, enabling efficient and precise road construction operations.

The project contractor is a well-known infrastructure company in Singapore. After gaining a comprehensive understanding of XCMG’s intelligent construction technology at the Bauma China 2024 exhibition, the contractor recognized the potential of the solution and decided to introduce the unmanned construction system into this runway project, enabling XCMG’s intelligent construction technology to be applied locally.

In addition to the Singapore airport project, the smart road construction solution has also been successfully implemented in a highway project in Oman, further expanding the international application scenarios for XCMG’s advanced road construction equipment.

As one of China’s largest and most mature intelligent construction systems, XCMG’s smart road construction technology has been applied in road building, road maintenance, tunnel construction, airport infrastructure, and water conservancy projects. To date, the technology has been deployed in 118 projects, operating under complex conditions such as high-altitude regions, deserts, and extreme temperatures, with a cumulative construction mileage exceeding 6,500 kilometers.
