On April 7, bauma 2025 officially opened. CATERPILLAR
exhibited equipment, technology, power solutions and services to celebrate the
company's centenary. The following five exhibition areas are particularly
noteworthy:
Highlight 1: Performance Exhibition Center
Focus on the synergy of power, equipment, technology and unmanned driving to help customers improve efficiency and achieve sustainable development. The site demonstrated how advanced technology can upgrade the fleet and reduce fuel and carbon emissions through simulation experience. A variety of electric equipment were unveiled, including Cat 301.9 mini excavators, Cat 906 loaders and upgraded Cat 320 and 950 GC, etc., and provided an immersive experience of electrified construction sites.
Highlight 2: Technology, Connectivity and
Safety
Show the latest applications of the
VisionLink system in equipment management, safety and operations, and
demonstrate how Cat Command remote control can operate cross-regional
equipment. It also includes solutions to improve safety and efficiency such as
Cat Detect safety detection and Cat Grade slope control, and Payload weighing
system.
Highlight 3: Next-generation equipment
Several new products were exhibited,
including the new crawler loader, Cat D8 bulldozer, Cat 140 AWD grader, Cat
MH3032 material handler, Cat 330 UHD demolition excavator, Cat M323 wheel
excavator for rail, Cat 775 off-highway truck and heavy-duty Cat 395 front
shovel.
Highlight 4: Service and support solutions
Digital after-sales services were
demonstrated through platforms such as CVA, Parts.cat.com, and SIS2GO to
improve equipment performance and reduce downtime. CVA provides efficient spare
parts logistics and technical support, and also exhibits refurbished and
certified second-hand equipment, as well as services such as the Equipment
Protection Plan (EPP).
Highlight 5: Power and electrification
solutions
Several industrial engines that support
100% HVO fuel were exhibited, including the new C13D, C3.6, efficient energy
storage system BESS and Cat XOP115 generator set. The electric drive system was
introduced for the first time, and a hydrogen fuel engine test area was set up
to demonstrate the research and development progress in the field of clean
energy.
