Caterpillar's new 600-tonne hydraulic mining shovel excavator has replaced its 6060B in the hydraulic mining shovel excavator lineup, featuring updated engine, optimized hydraulic system, heavy duty structure and chassis, Caterpillar's electronic device and advanced cab.
Caterpillar said one of the new generation of mining shovel excavators would run at the Quellaveco mine in Peru, which is being developed by Anglo American plc. At the same time, for the North American market, the engine of this product is equipped with a maintenance-free diesel oxidation catalyst emission control system, does not use diesel exhaust fluid and complies with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Tier 4 Final regulations. Compared with the previous models, the combination of the updated engine and the optimized hydraulic system improves the fuel efficiency by 10-15%, with the efficiency of the backhoe configuration increasing by 3-5%. To reduce maintenance, the engine oil and filter change interval has doubled to 1,000 hours.6060 accept Cat MineStar™ solutions, a mining technology designed to improve mine safety, improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. In addition to the new-generation diesel 6060, Caterpillar will continue to provide electric 6060 AC FS for mines optimized for such machines.
